All Joy and No Fun

“From the perspective of the species, it’s perfectly unmysterious  why people have children.  From the perspective of the individual, however, it’s more of a mystery than one might think. Most people assume that having children will make them happier. Yet a wide variety of academic research shows that parents are not happier than their childless peers, and in many cases are less so”.   I don’t  agree with this article about it is saying parents are not happy with their kids, in contrast with me, I am happy mom. My son is my world, my reason to continue to be alive everyday. I don’t want to die, I want to live for many years, so I will be able to guide my son in this rude world. Everybody who becomes to be a parents is like me, some are so stressful having so many kids. But later on those kids, they will grow up and the family will be big. A single person maybe the life is simple without complications no kids, they don’t worry for nobody, just for them. So their life is simple without finding other kind of love. I believe kids are the real lover, because they will love their moms, without makeup, and how they look, skinny or fat, tall or short, kids love their parents without limits and any conditions kids just give love to their parents, so nobody will give that kind of love.

Moms are the most important person in kid’s life, around the world. Mothers are always taking care of the children at home. They are thinking how to take care of their children al the time. Even when their kids are old, mothers are thinking about their children at any age, how they’re doing at home, or outside home, or sometimes outside the country. But when a daughter leaves home, and she want to build her own family far away from her country. Some distance between mother and daughter are going to start between the close friends.

A couple years ago, I met a Honduras girl, a hard working mom, she works full time, and every night at home she makes dinner for her family. But she never has a vacation, from work, or even going back to her country Honduras. I did not know why she works hard every day, she works six day a week, from 6:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., and she has two kids. A couple months age she was sad, and depressed when she knew her mom was sick. Her mom was in the hospital, I suggested her to take some vacations, and the same time, she goes to see her mom in her native country. But when I did my suggestions, she become mad with me; I did not what was wrong flying back to her country. She answered, I cannot go back for any reasons, I am illegal in this country, I don’t have a “green card”. I was embarrassing, I suggested bad ideas for her, thinking going back, but I was not the only one suggesting the same ideas. It was difficult for me to believe her immigration status because she works in a restaurant and the owner knows her status, her boss is violating the law in haring an illegal employee. But later she received a phone call from her family in Honduras, her mom was die, she pass away in weeks after getting in the hospital. She was devastating for the news of her mom. She was crying for than a week, because I could say good-bye to her mom.

For me, I could not understand how important is a piece of paper, it doesn’t matter if you have money to buy an expensive fly ticket. I am not political person; I don’t understand why is so important a paper when she is living a regular life, like another American person close to her neighbor. Why is so important the “green card”, but when she goes to big stores to buy furniture for her home, nobody asks what is her immigrations status. Why an illegal immigrant is allow spending her money, but she is not able to fly and coming back to her home with her kids waiting for her to came back. It is not possible for illegal immigrant to get out of the country without worries in immigrations status. Why? When she spends her money here in the United States her piece of paper doesn’t matter.

Where she works the owner of the restaurant knows her immigration statues, but he is keeping his value employee, even knowing he is violating laws, again her statues doesn’t matter, why the government prohibits an illegal immigrant to leave this country and let them to come back to her home, because home is where your kids live, where they are growing and learning about their country. I believe in family, love, and stay together as a family. But government and political are believing in others things, such as money how to make this country great again. Like Mr. Trump, has money, so he is getting a strong position for running as candidate as a president of the United States.

Home Economics: The Link Between Work -Life

Family vs. money. Everything in our daily lives is about money, Families around the globe are always looking how to make money for their families. In the United States, sometimes father are focus in work, work, sometimes long hours, more than 12 hours per day because they are worry to pay bills each months or each week. Moms are getting complete charge of their kids 24/7 at home. Moms are now trying to help at home, so mother are working full time and making everything at home too. Moms are become super heroes, they have to find time for everything at home and for their kids. While dads are only going to work, it is when argues start to come to out at home. Now dads have to help at home too. When a team work start to join at home, a couple become a team work at home. The article said ” My wife lean in a year ago, after nine hours of labor, she received and epidural and immediately asked me to pass the Ipad so she could send a note to work”. A mom was worrying about her job, while she was in labor room.

The Love Of My Life

I was reading this essay, it is a fiction about how love can be describing in so many ways, in our daily lives. One part of the essay, the author said. “WE LIKE TO” say how things are, perhaps because we hope that’s how they might actually be. We attempt to name, identify, and define the most mysterious of matters: sex, love, marriage, monogamy, infidelity, death, loss, grief. We  want these things to have an order, an internal logic, and we also wan them to be connected to one another.” She was saying all our behavior have name. We are humans trying to made new things everything day in our lives. She was saying a lovely girl how miss her mother, when she passed aways, her live become empty in her heart and soul. No one could  not fit in her life, after the loss of her mother. She was saying, how was really her love. In our families love is everyone who form part of it, something we attach with mother or father in different ways. Sometimes father are the best friend of her daughters in families or sometimes mother.

I was reading the Auto-ethnography Family in Foreign Spaces: Leaving Home to Find Home.  It was about a college student living in Mexico for three months as an English teacher of a small town. Where everybody knows all the towns, all the neighbors are related family, or each other know the name of the family from different block aways from one to another. Everybody knows what number of members are the family per home. She was describing how stereotypes are powerful in our society she mention “If we recognize that the people of Mexico, and all people whose other identities stand  in juxtaposition  to U.S. citizens’ identity, are equal to us and a part of our family, our social, political and economic structure would not be possible”. I believe the same like her, all people are equal it doesn’t matter where they born. Countries are making limitations in our minds that other countries are better than the other ones. I believe people are forgetting equal human being are others who country is not America. American U.S. citizens are able to visit any country in America, in contrast with them. For citizens from another country expect Europe are not easy to come here the USA. It is a lot of money to spend for plane ticket. Also, the emigrations paper work, it a lot of money just to have access to enter a wealthy country. I like the article the also mention how is the live in “Buena Vista, there are no washing machines or dryers, people hand wash their clothes in front of their houses and hand them up to dry outside. The whole town knows what color your underwear is and there is no shame in this”.  She was saying are not secret in whole town, everybody know each other well, even the neighbor know what if your favorite color in underwear. She was explaining how different  is life in the U.S.  everything has to be private no one has to anything about you, nobody cares about each other. In U.S. communities nobody know even the name of your next neighbor.
